| Customer Reviews: Overpriced, underquality September 30, 2009 Amanda C. Schlicher (milwaukee, wi United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this item to be used for riding and they are totally unsuitable. Very cheap materials, poorly constructed and dangerously low area of visibility. I cannot use them for riding and I will be returning them. Costume-quality cheap goggles sold (and priced) as the real thing.
Goofy looking and cheap September 28, 2009 Zack Davisson (Seattle, WA, USA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I ordered these as a replacement set for another set of goggles I had which had broken. I was in the mood for a change, and these looked pretty cool in the picture. I was really looking forward to trying them out, but when I opened the box it was a big disappointment.
First off, these are made of really cheap material. The plastic on the frame is so thin, it would be really easy to just crush them with one hand. Lightweight and with zero durability. I expected better quality construction at the price.
Second, and probably most important, they just don't look good. What you can't tell by the picture is that the rubber portion of the goggles is pretty thick, so instead of just the lenses your face is covered by about a half an inch each way of cheap foam rubber. I started cracking up the first time I saw myself in a mirror, then just got sad thinking about how much I paid for them. They really look ridiculous.
The foam rubber could probably be trimmed, but the head-band that holds the goggles on is attached to the foam rubber and not the actual goggles. I was surprised that this, because foam rubber tears so easily.
These are the kind of item that I would have never bought from a store, if I had the chance first to handle them and try them on. At BEST these goggles might do the trick as some sort of costume, but anyone expecting to actually use these as sunglasses/goggles needs to keep on looking.
Tunnel Vision Anyone? September 27, 2009 Steven Williams (Tulsa, OK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this for daily motorcycle riding since they obviously look cool and had the 3 interchangeable lenses. I cannot use them. You get the worst tunnel vision using these goggles with no peripheral vision forcing you to look to the left and right where you should be able to see naturally. Very dangerous for actual riding use.
Very Cool shades September 4, 2009 Robert Garcia (Syrian Desert) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I used them as a prop for a photo shoot. It came with three lens, clear, dark and red. Very cool looking.
Great for cosplay but not for actual use. June 9, 2009 ZombieSmash (CA, USA) 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
I was looking for some awesome goggles to wear while I ride my scooter. However, I feel that these are not them. I find myself frustrated with the poor construction of the goggles. Although the actual lenses and frames seem of good quality, the strap, padding, and nose piece are of low quality. They seem like they were made for someone who would use them on a costume rather than for function. I feel they were not worth $30.
In short, I would not recommended this product to someone looking for functional goggles but would recommended them for someone who needs goggles for their costume.
