This is a great inexpensive item that really does the job! I don't have cross rails on the roof and this easily attaches to the sides.No movement at all and could not hear any wind noise on our trip. We went through a heavy rainstorm and kept out all the water. It easily stored a huge duffel bag and 2 smaller suitcases.

This carrier leaked horribly, the first time we encountered any significant rain. It was properly tied down, zipped, with the flaps folded down over the zipper, and the Velcro fastened on the flaps. Luckily, I had most items in large plastic bags, otherwise we would have had a wet comforter & air mattress! I will give this the lowest rating possible, and tell everyone NOT to buy it!

Excellent cargo bag. The straps did not seem awkward to me, nor did I have a problem with them breaking. I strapped it to the top of my Nissan Xterra and drove 3700 miles to the coast and back. Waterproof, more room than we could use (4 duffelbags, and then some) no noise - worked like a charm. And for the price? Don't even think about another one. You can't go wrong with this one.

My husband and I were planning a trip with a teenager(his youngest sister) and our two boys a 5 yr old and 7 month old. Knowing we needed plenty of room for our baby items we pourchased this car top carrier. I think it added so much room its unimaginable. I love it.. now my husband does not like it at all. The reason he does not like it is because of the straps that are attached. He cannot figure out how to get them tightend. I had to pack the carrier before our trip because he threw his back out, so i fiddled with it and finally figured out the straps. Other than that, very easy to use. Dont buckle it down before you fill it, i had never packed one before and thought you could strap it down, buckle it and then fill it up. I hope this helps everyone considering the purchase it really does make a difference. we had a pack n play which rolled up is about 1 ft by 3 ft, two large duffle bags and two large boxes with baby items in there and still had plenty of room in it. I was impressed with the amount of luggage could be put inside the carrier. GREAT BUY. and the waterproof aspect paid off as well. This is a GREAT TRAVEL ITEM. I have no regrets about this purchase

I purchased this for my sister and unfortunately she didn't try to use it until 34 days after it had been delivered. It's not as well made as she thought it would be, she wound up using the one that I bought, and I tried to exchange it to no avail. Won't be buying anything from Amazon that I won't be using right away as they really don't stand behind their products.
