This compass has 2 jobs, light up and indicate direction. This arrived and it lit up but did not track direction, at all. While travelling dead west I got South East, North was West and so on...So if you want a cool blue light, its fine, if you want to know where your going, do not buy this product.

My wife wanted a SIMPLE compass for her car. This seemed like it would do the trick, and it would have if it worked.
It did light--light stays on permanently by the way, and there are no instructions about how long the battery will last.
But the compass doesn't even remotely give the correct direction. There is also no way to compensate for the car's magnetic field.
It's junk--don't buy it.

These lighted compasses looked great in the photo, so I bought two -- one for each of our cars. When they arrived, the first one out of the package wouldn't light up. Then, when the second one would only light up intermittently, I got really depressed. First thing I've ever had to return to Amazon. Great idea, but didn't work as intended. =(
